Her breakthrough came in 2006, when she was able to host her own program on E! The show was titled Chelsea Handler. The show ran for two seasons. Handler was a performer at The Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour on American soil in the following year. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcast her stand-up comedy shows. In 2010, she hosted the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were announced. This made her the first woman to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
